FGES Science & Social Studies Fair for All Grades

The FGES PTA is excited to announce the 8th annual Fountain Green Elementary School Night at the Museum! This event will allow students to investigate a topic that interests them in the disciplines of History, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and present what they have learned in a fun and creative way! Participation is entirely voluntary, and parental involvement is encouraged.
Participating students will receive a book and be entered into a raffle to win one of several other PRIZES (such as tickets to zoos, museums, science kits, and more)! Selected projects will be displayed in the FGES lobby the following week. Finally, the class with the most participating students will win new books for SSR, and the grade level with the most participants will receive a prize!
Working individually or with a partner, students will:

- Choose a topic related to history or a STEM discipline.
- Learn about their topic through research and/or experimentation.
- Create their exhibit. Exhibits may include:
- A poster or 3-panel exhibit board.
- A three-dimensional model.
- A costumed portrayal of an important figure with an oral presentation of information.
- A PowerPoint slideshow or short video (students must provide their own laptop/tablet and electrical cords).
