Nominees:

Jenny Harner - Candidate for Treasurer

In the fall of 2020, I will have two kids at Fountain Green. Derek will be in 2nd grade and Carrie will be in Kindergarten. I'm beginning my 20th year as a teacher in Cecil County, where I am a media specialist and computer science teacher. My husband Mike and I have lived in the Fountain Green area since 2010, and I've been in Harford County since 2002. Normally, I would share that my hobbies include vacationing, visiting family and friends, and spending long lazy summer days at the pool. Looking forward to the days when all of those things can once again fill the calendar!
Phillip Hohman Jr - Candidate for Vice President

So a little about myself. I have one son Ayden age 6 , first grader in Mrs. Murphy class. Married to my wife Diana almost 5 years (Oct), who is a nanny and also a Pharmacy Technician at CVS.  Have been a Harford County resident my whole life (30). I previously was a EMS first responder for the Bel Air and Joppa areas for just about 10 years. Have worked at my current job for 6 years at WAVE which is manufacturing plant in Aberdeen as a Packout Operator. Also sometimes work at Richlin Ballroom. In my spare time I am taking the family to Myrtle beach, cooking on the grill, calling bingo, playing legos ,cars or fire trucks with my son as we both have big collections.
Nykisha Kimble - Vice President Candidate

My name is Nykisha Kimble, and I am a parent of a current 3rd and 4th grader here at FGES.  My family and I have been a member of the FGES community for the past 4 years, and we couldn’t be more happy with the sense of community, love, friendship, care and education that is provided to our family!  The PTA is such a huge part of the school and community, and I feel it is so important to keep this great organization up and running every single year; because without the PTA, our students and surrounding community miss out on so many fruitful and fun activities and events.

This year, I am nominating myself for the VP seat as I feel that this would be the best fit.  I have previously served as the FGES PTA president for two years (2017-2019) and fell in love with the organization, and all that it stands for.  Given that I have this experience with running the PTA, the VP position would be an easy transition for me to step in to, in order to ensure that the PTA has a full executive board this upcoming school year.

Outside of the PTA, I work full time as a Chemical Engineer with the US Army, and have been since graduating undergrad in 2007.  I absolutely love my job, which allows for me to be completely flexible with my schedule and attend any and all events that may be occurring with the PTA/FGES.  Also, the skills that I have learned and acquired, help me to maintain organization, run successful and efficient meetings, as well as interact with all of you!

I am a very energetic, go-getter and will make sure that not just your student, but your family as well, has a sense of community within the school.  I will make sure that events and activities are scheduled throughout the year to not just support the PTA, but also provide everyone with fun family time. Lastly, if I am selected as the VP this year, I will always have an open door policy to hear any issues, suggestions, or questions that you may have, to make sure that everyone’s voice is heard.  Because without YOU, there is no PTA.

Thank you and I hope that you take the time to vote for me!
