2021-2022 Patriot Program
Kindergarten Requirements
Welcome to the 2021-2022 Patriot Program Year! This year, projects will be placed in a bin located in each pod and any testing for memorization will be done in person or virtually. You can submit projects any time before the due date.
● In order to achieve the title of a Kindergarten Bright Star, you must complete 3 of the 5 activities listed below. The Good Deed option is mandatory. You may choose the other two.
● All projects are due by April 1, 2022. It is important that all projects are handed in on or before this due date.
● Traditionally, fifth grade Patriots who have completed the Patriot Program in grades 3, 4, and 5 earn a trip to Philadelphia. Fifth grade Patriots who have completed the program every year since kindergarten will be celebrated as six-year Patriots.
Patriot Program Activities: Kindergarten Bright Stars
1. Do a Good Deed OR Complete an Act of Kindness (REQUIRED).
(FILL OUT ATTACHED FORM) Some examples may include donating time or goods to a charity and helping a neighbor. To submit this assignment, fill out the attached form and place in the bin in the pod.

(History/The Flag) Color the Flag. Tell about the symbolism.
Color the attached flag using the correct colors for each section. Then, on the bottom of the paper, write the following sentence filling in the blanks with the correct answers:
The stars on the American flag stand for ________________________ and the stripes stand for ________________________.
3. (Government) On a separate sheet of paper, write the following sentences, filling in the blank with the correct answers. The current President of the United States is _____________________________. Two of his responsibilities as President are __________________________ and _________________________.
4. (Geography) Identify the United States on a world map.

With a Patriot Program committee member, identify the location of the United States on a world map. This will be a tested assignment.
(Symbolism) Draw a picture or paste a picture of four symbols of the United States.
On a piece of paper, draw and color in or paste a picture of four symbols of the United States and label each.
