Every Child, One Voice.
Our Purpose
- To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship;
- To raise the standards of home life;
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth;
- To bring into closer relation the home and school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth; and
- To develop between educators and the general public, united efforts that will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
Our Mission
- To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before government bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
- To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
- To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
What We Do
We work independently to promote the welfare of children in our school and community. We work together with our principals, superin-tendents, school boards and other community leaders to make sure your concerns are heard and needs are met.
Who We Are
The FGES PTA is a private nonprofit volunteer organization where parents and teachers work together to provide educational, fun, and enriching programs for children and their families.
We are chartered by the Harford County Council (HCC) PTA, Maryland PTA and National PTA. All FGES parents and teachers are encouraged to become actively involved by joining the PTA and are welcome to attend general membership meetings.
